RAMSEY, NJ- Officials have identified the man killed in the pedestrian accident on NJ-17 overnight on Thursday, according to Daily Voice.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Erik Eidner, a resident of Mahwah. He was standing on the shoulder of the roadway late Thursday and was struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer, then a passenger vehicle.
It is unclear at this time why Eidner was in the roadway at the time of the crash.
