GARFIELD, NJ- A woman was struck and killed by a train in Garfield on Friday morning, according to local media sources.
At approximately 9:39am, an out-of-service train was being moved along the Bergen County line when it struck a woman near Van Winkle Avenue in Garfield. The woman was fatally injured due to the incident. Service was suspended in both directions due to the accident, and no one on board was injured.
