JERSEY CITY, NJ – A woman died after her vehicle crashed and caught fire on the New Jersey Turnpike Wednesday afternoon reports the Daily Voice.
The 36-year-old Bayonne woman was traveling east on the Hudson Bay Extension when she went off the roadway and struck a tree near milepost 5.5. The vehicle went up in flames after impact.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
