ENGLEWOOD, NJ – A teenage girl was injured when a sun-blinded driver struck her while she crossed an Englewood intersection on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Daily Voice, a 14-year-old girl was crossing at the corner of Tenafly Road and West Hudson Avenue at about 3:30 p.m. The glare from the afternoon sun temporarily blinded the 36-year-old driver of a Ford van, causing the accident.

The girl was transported to Englewood Hospital and Medical Center for injuries to her shoulder and hip but she remained conscious and alert.

The accident is still under investigation.
