SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ — A 19-year-old Knowlton woman died Sunday night after a two-vehicle wreck involving a deer on Route 94 near Fredon Township, according to Daily Voice.

New Jersey State Police said the fatal accident happened near milepost 15.1, past Muller Road (Yellow Frame Road), shortly after 10:25 p.m.

An early investigation shows a 33-year-old Branchville resident was driving a Jeep Wrangler southbound when the vehicle hit a deer. The impact caused the driver to veer into the northbound lanes, where the Jeep struck a grass embankment, and then a Honda Civic driven by an 18-year-old Johnsonburg resident.

The Knowlton woman, who was a passenger in the Honda Civic, was pronounced deceased on the scene, confirmed officials.

Both drivers were said to have suffered moderate injuries, though no updates on their conditions have been released at this time.

As of this writing, no pending charges or citations have been reported.
