ROBBINSVILLE, NJ – A morning accident that downed a utility pole and wires in Robbinsville Township caused extensive delays on Thursday.

According to 511 New Jersey, the car accident happened on US 130 southbound near Hankins Road at about 10:45 a.m. A vehicle was off the roadway and the downed pole and downed wires necessitated extensive closures while emergency crews worked at the scene.

Immediately following the crash, officials closed all lanes on US 130 and detoured traffic around the area. They were able to open all but one lane within two hours. However, the downed powerlines needed electrical work and the right lane remained closed into the afternoon.

At this time, injuries have not been confirmed.
