Pedestrian Struck and Killed Near Bay Avenue in Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ- A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while getting something out of their car in Toms River on Tuesday night, according to local media sources.

At approximately 10:25am, a pedestrian was on the side of the road getting something out of their vehicle near the intersection of Bay Avenue and Twin Oaks Drive. A vehicle veered off road and struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced dead shortly after the incident, and the driver was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center for treatment.
