HUDSON COUNTY, NJ – According to the Daily Voice, a man who led police on a high-speed chase through Hudson County on Tuesday is now facing several charges.
Zachary H. Nemiri, 22, was seen driving a 2003 Acura around Kennedy Boulevard and 47th Street at 12:45 a.m. when Bayonne Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop.
Nemiri sped away into Jersey City, posing a danger to other vehicles. He eventually came to a stop in the Seaview and Kennedy Boulevard area.
Police found over 50 grams of marijuana, THC candies, and narcotic paraphernalia.
Further investigation confirmed that Nemiri was wanted on two arrest warrants.
He was charged with eluding police in addition to the charges of narcotic possession.
Vehicular Accidents

Speeding was another major contributing factor to these crashes being listed as a factor in 61 of the crashes. Driving while distracted seems to be the biggest factor as it was listed as a cause for 196 crashes.
We urge drivers to observe and follow the laws while driving, and to remain focused while driving so that they can react accordingly to situations that may suddenly pop up on the roadway. Drivers should be more careful when driving while visibility is low, and they should also check their car before going on the roadway. Being more diligent and prepared can help lessen accidents on the roads of New Jersey.
