Drunk man crashes with car in Pompton Plains gas station

PEQUANNOCK TOWNSHIP, NJ – A Paterson man, driving while intoxicated, crashed in a gas station in Pompton Plains on Wednesday evening.

According to Daily Voice, the 23-year-old was southbound on Route 23 at about 7:15 p.m. He drove his grey Hyundai in the center barrier then veered across the roadway into a Sunoco gas station, where he hit a parked white Chevrolet. The collision drove both vehicles into the woods surrounding the gas station.

Jonathan Torres was charged with DWI after being treated for minor injuries at St. Joseph’s Hospital. He also was driving with a suspending license and committed other motor vehicle offenses.
