ESSEX COUNTY, NJ – After a New Jersey Transit train became stuck near Millburn station, Wednesday morning commuters were faced with hour-long delays.
According to NJ.com, a train become disabled at about 7:30 east of Millburn station and affected travel on the Morris & Essex line.
Train 6614 had departed from Dover at 6:44 a.m. and was supposed to arrive in New York Penn Station just after 8 a.m. before it was disabled. The forty passengers on the train were able to exit and board another for their final destination. However, the ripple effects of the incident continued while the disabled train remained on the tracks until after 9 a.m.
Some commuters ended up waiting for more than an hour and a half for their train to reach its destination.
