JERSEY CITY, NJ – According to Shore News Network, a pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Jersey on Monday night.
Authorities say the accident took place shortly before 10:00 p.m. near the intersection of Sip Avenue and Routes 1 and 9. An unidentified pedestrian was crossing the street when they were struck by an SUV that was driving north. The pedestrian was then was struck by another vehicle following the initial impact.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers involved remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Police continue to investigate this incident.
