ATV rider injured in crash with car in Manchester

MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – The rider of an ATV sustained major injuries in a crash with a vehicle at a Manchester Township street corner on Saturday evening.

According to a local news story, a 2004 red Pontiac Grand Am was making a left turn onto Route 37 from Commonwealth Boulevard. The Yamaha Rap1tor 350 ATV came out onto Route 37 from the woods and the two vehicles collided.

The two occupants of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, were wearing seatbelts and escaped uninjured.

The ATV’s driver, 18-year-old Tyler Moran, suffered as severe leg injury and was transported to a local hospital. The man was wearing a helmet.

The accident remains under investigation.
