NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ – Two children were killed and multiple people were injured in a wrong-way crash involving a police vehicle that happened late Thanksgiving night on Route 1.
According to the Daily Voice, the accident happened at around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Route 130 and Route 1 near North Brunswick, after a driver traveling in the wrong direction crashed into an Old Bridge Township police cruiser.
Two children inside the wrong-way vehicle were pronounced dead after the crash.
The wrong-way driver and the two police officers inside the cruiser were injured in the collision.
The accident remains under investigation by multiple agencies, including the New Jersey Attorney’s Office.
