Passaic County Personal Injury Attorneys
Robust representation for auto accidents and other negligent injuries
Originally carved from portions of Bergen County and Essex County in 1837, Passaic County is now home to roughly 510,000 New Jerseyans, making it the ninth most populous county in the Garden State. It’s also one of the most diverse. Passaic County holds some of the state’s most beautiful open spaces, such as Garret Mountain Reservation, Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, and High Mountain Park Preserve, as well as two of the largest cities, Paterson and Clifton, which are both more populous than the state capital of Trenton. Thus, Passaic County offers its residents the best of urban and rural living, making it a great place to live, work and raise a family. But if you’ve been injured due to someone’s negligence, your enjoyment of life can be greatly diminished. A serious auto accident, sudden slip and fall, or an occupational injury can leave you in pain, out of work, and under great stress. That’s when it’s time to call Brach Eichler. Our accomplished personal injury lawyers are ready to step in, providing the personalized service that gives you immediate peace of mind and the aggressive representation that delivers positive results.
Experienced and reliable Passaic County car accident attorneys
According to statistics from the NJ Department of Transportation, Passaic is the sixth leading county for motor vehicle crashes. Yet, motor vehicle accidents declined fairly steadily for more than a decade in Passaic County from 5,295 in 2001 to 3,764 in 2014, although the number of crashes has started to tick up again, reaching 4,303 in 2017. Unfortunately, fatalities from motor vehicle accidents in Passaic County did not follow the same pattern. Nevertheless, 2017 was a particularly good year, with only 18 deaths on Passaic County roads. A solid trend in the county is the steady reduction in crashes due to cell phone use — both hand-held and hands-free devices. As recently as 2011, there were 163 crashes involving hands-free device and 107 crashes with hand-held devices. But in 2017, only 13 crashes were attributed to hands-free phones while only 44 crashes involved hand-held phones.
Accidents can be severe on the major arteries, including I-80, I-287, and US 202 where car crashes, truck accidents and motorcycle accidents happen at highway speeds. Victims can suffer catastrophic injury, such as:
- Concussion or brain injury
- Displaced fractures and crushed bones
- Internal injuries
- Loss of limb
- Loss of sight
- Wrongful death
