MONTVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ- A young girl was struck and injured by a NJ Transit Train in Montville Township on Thursday evening, according to WRNJ Radio.
At approximately 5:48pm, the girl was hit and subsequently critically injured by Montclair Boonton Line Train 1079. The train had departed Hoboken at 4:32pm and was scheduled to arrive in Hackettstown at 6:39pm. The accident occurred just west of Abbot Road.
Seven people were on board at the time and no other injuries were reported. The girl was transported to Morristown Medical Center.
