ATLANTIC COUNTY, NJ – A 26-year-old woman died when her vehicle was struck by a train in Atlantic County on Thursday afternoon.
According to Nj.com, a vehicle driven by Dorothy Burkett was struck by a New Jersey Transit Atlantic City line train in Hammonton at about 3:20 p.m. The train, which carried 23 passengers, was out of Atlantic City and bound for Philadelphia.
It is unclear as this time how Burkett’s vehicle came to be on the tracks.
An investigation is ongoing.
