BURLINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ – A woman was killed after being struck by a truck driver in a hit-and-run accident in Burlington Township early this morning.
According to NJ.com, the accident occurred on Campus Drive, near Autumn Lane and Sunset Road, at about 2:15 a.m., when 46-year-old Burlington resident Rochelle Ritter was struck by either a tractor-trailer or a box truck.
The driver then fled the scene, likely headed towards Route 130.
A bystander discovered Ritter lying in the road and called for help. She died at the scene.
