UNION COUNTY, NJ – A woman was seriously injured when her crashed car caught on fire on the Garden State Parkway in Union Township on Sunday.
RLS Media reports that the woman was in a three-vehicle accident that included a Toyota Yaris, a Honda Civic, and a New Jersey Transit police vehicle in the southbound lanes near Exit 141 early Sunday. She was trapped in her, which went up in flames.
After she was extricated, paramedics took her to the hospital in serious condition.
One left lane was closed for a couple of hours for an investigation, backing up traffic for at least two miles.
There is no word as to what caused the accident.
