NEWARK, NJ – A pedestrian was injured by a New Jersey Transit passenger Train in Newark Penn Station on Friday afternoon, according to RLS Media.
The Northeast Corridor train was coming from Trenton when it struck the woman at about 3:15 p.m. at the Newark Penn Station.
The woman was reported to be alert and breathing after the accident. She was transported to a local hospital. An update on his condition has not been released.
About 200 people were on the train but no one on board was injured. Customers were transferred to another train to complete their trip.
The accident is under investigation.
