CLIFTON, NJ – A woman died after her vehicle crashed into a tree on the Garden State Parkway in Clifton early this morning, according to information from the Daily Voice.
The crash happened on the northbound GSP near mile marker 153.7 at around 1:40 a.m., after the driver of a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, a 26-year-old woman from Newark, went off the left side of the road.
There, she crashed into a tree in the median. Her vehicle then burst into flames.
The driver died at the scene.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
