OLD BRIDGE, NJ – A woman was airlifted after being struck by a car while crossing the street to a bus stop in Old Bridge on Thursday morning.
According to a local news story, the woman was walking across Matawan Road near the Garden State Parkway to the bus stop at about 6:22 a.m. She was struck by a red Dodge Charger after parking her car at the nearby commuter lot.
The 56-year-old Laurence Harbor resident was airlifted from the scene to Robert Wood Hospital in New Brunswick. She remains hospitalized for a series of broken bones and other injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
