ESSEX COUNTY, NJ – Wires were downed when a truck collided with a utility pole at an intersection in Bloomfield early in the morning on Tuesday.
According to RLS Media, the accident happened at the corner of Franklin Street and Municipal Plaza at about 3:20 a.m. When authorities arrived, they found the truck driver trapped by live wires downed around the vehicle.
They quickly contacted the power company and then were able to safely extricate the driver, who escaped any serious injury.
Police are still looking into what caused the accident.
