NJ.com reports that the conflagration broke out at Building 8 of the Avalon Princeton Junction complex—located off of Clarksville Road—at about 3:20 p.m. on April 7. While no residents were seriously hurt, one responding firefighter received minor injuries combatting the blaze, and as many as 20 units were destroyed before it was brought under control, about 90 minutes after crews first arrived on the scene.
West Windsor Mayor Hemant Marathe said that many residents had been displaced, but did not cite a specific figure.
