WAYNE TOWNSHIP, NJ (PASSAIC COUNTY) – A man from Wayne died Friday from injuries he sustained in a Wednesday car crash on Ratzer Road, according to a report by the Hackensack Daily Voice.
The accident happened around 5:15 p.m. on Ratzer Road and Garside Avenue in Wayne Township, located in Passaic County.
The victim is Wayne man Antonio R. Cruz, 38, who was driving a gray Honda CRV. The Honda struck a utility pole and seemed to have caused a chain-reaction accident that led to another Honda CRV to crash.
The crash sent Cruz to the hospital, where he died Friday just before 4:30 p.m.
Also injured in the crash were an unnamed youth and Wayne woman Jenelle E. Cruz, 38. They were sent to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Paterson resident Heuris Munoz, 35, was driving the second Honda, which crashed into a utility pole on the opposite side of Ratzer Road.
Munoz was sent to the hospital after the accident and has since been discharged.
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
