WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Drivers in Wall Township are adjusting to new a traffic pattern at the Manasquan Circle and Atlantic Avenue Circle, according to NJ.com.
NJ transportation officials have reversed who yields at the two major traffic circles on the main access roads to the Jersey Shore.
At the Atlantic Avenue circle, traffic coming into the circle will now how to give way to vehicles already in the circle. The same is true on Route 34 at the Manasquan Circle, just off the Garden State Parkway. Traffic rules now conform to international standards.
Video footage shows drivers’ confusion at the change as they drove right through yields.
Because of these changes, all three traffic circles in Wall Township will not operate in a similar pattern, hopefully lessening long-term confusion.
Authorities have increased signage and are monitoring traffic as drivers adjust to the change that took place about a month ago.
