MAURICE RIVER TOWNSHIP, NJ – The victim of a fatal three-vehicle accident in Maurice River Township has been identified as a Pennsylvania man.
According to Nj.com, a Freightliner tractor-trailer was headed south on Route 47 when it struck the back of a Peterbilt truck at about 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23. The impact then pushed the Freightliner across the center line where it collided with an oncoming Chevrolet Equinox.
The Chevrolet’s driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 72-year-old Dinesh Vyas, a Langhorne, Pennsylvania resident.
Neither of the truck drivers was injured in the accident.
The area was closed for several hours after the crash.
