PATERSON, NJ – The victim of a fatal Interstate 80 rollover crash in Paterson on Sunday night has been identified by the New Jersey State Police.
Nj.com reported that the man who died in the crash was 18-year-old Diego Guzman. He was a passenger in a car that was exiting westbound Interstate 80 at Route 19 south just before 9 p.m. The vehicle veered off the travel lanes and rolled down the embankment, striking multiple trees on its way.
Guzman and a second passenger were thrown from the vehicle. Guzman died at the scene, while both the driver and the other passenger were taken to an area hospital and treated for moderate injuries.
All three were 18-year-olds from the Paterson area.
