MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – One person was seriously injured in a rollover accident on Interstate 80 in Roxbury Township on Friday morning.
According to NJ.com, a pickup truck overturned in the westbound lanes near Howard Boulevard at about 6:39 a.m.
The victim was seriously injured. A helicopter landed in the westbound lanes, blocking all traffic, to airlift the person to Morristown Medical Center. The identity of the victim has not been released.
Police continued to investigate the accident site through the morning on Friday. Most of the lanes were able to reopen after the medical transport left the scene but the right lane remained closed after 11:30 a.m. Traffic was backing up along the freeway and delays were as long as 15 minutes.
