ELIZABETH, NJ – A vehicle fire was reported on the New Jersey Turnpike in Elizabeth on Monday morning, according to 511 New Jersey.
Firefighters were working at the fire scene on the outer roadway of the NJ Turnpike southbound near Interchange 13 for the Geothals Bridge at about 10:50 a.m.
One of the righthand lanes was blocked by the burning vehicle and emergency response team.
It has not been reported whether the fire was caused by a traffic collision or another reason. It also remains unclear whether anyone was injured in the crash.
