Vehicle fire kills one in Mercer

MERCER COUNTY, NJ – One person is dead after a vehicle fire on Interstate 295 on Wednesday afternoon, according to NJ.com.

Emergency workers responded to reports of a car burning on the Exit 60 ramp at about 7:55 p.m. The driver was still inside the vehicle.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

The fire involved a single vehicle.

The ramp remained closed for a couple of hours following the incident. The fire is still under investigation.
