TOMS RIVER TOWNSHIP, NJ – A downed utility pole and traffic signal was impacting traffic in Toms River on Tuesday.

According to 511 New Jersey, the right lane on New Jersey 37 near St. Catherine Boulevard was closed. The closure began a short time after midnight and continued through the afternoon on Tuesday.

There is no word at this time whether a traffic accident was a factor in the downed pole and signal.

Despite the closure, traffic is flowing through the area.
