HACKENSACK, NJ – A woman was alive and alert after her car was struck by a train in Hackensack on Monday morning, according to Daily Voice.
The woman’s black sedan was struck by a New Jersey Transit train near the Essex Street Station near East Railroad Avenue at about 8:20 a.m. The Pascack Valley Line train was out of Spring Valley and bound for Hoboken when it struck the Hyundai Sonata.
Firefighters extricated the woman, who was conscious, and took her to Hackensack University Medical Center.
There were 30 people on board the train. None of them were injured.
