MERCER COUNTY, NJ – The two victims of last week’s fatal tractor-trailer accident on the New Jersey Turnpike in Robbinsville have been identified.
According to NJ.com, the two men were the driver and passenger of a tractor-trailer that crashed into an overpass abutment near Exit 7A at about 9:20 p.m. last Thursday.
They have been identified as 55-year-old Malcom Cope of Douglas, Georgia, and 56-year-old Van Huston of Jamaica, New York.
The vehicle was northbound when it swerved into the concrete post and overturned, spilling a load of watermelons. The area was closed for hours overnight.
The cause of the accident is still unclear.
