MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Police have identified the individual killed in a vehicle-vs.-pedestrian collision on Route 35 on Tuesday.
According to NJ.com, 62-year-old William McAvoy was walking near Rt 35 and Navesink River Road just before 8 p.m., when he was struck by a northbound vehicle. McAvoy died at the scene.
The driver stopped and cooperated with police investigations. It is not clear at this time whether that person will face criminal charges.
