MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ- According to Daily Voice, the individual struck on Monday by the New Jersey Transit train in Morris Township near Convent Station has been identified as 61-year-old Jane B. Siegel.
Siegel was struck and killed by the train at approximately 4:40am on Kahn Street in between Convent Station and Morristown by Morris & Essex line Train 6602, a transit spokesperson said.
No other injuries were reported to the approximately 30 people on board at the time.
The train service was briefly halted but has since resumed.
Transit police are leading the investigation.
