A Toyota Corolla burst into flames at about 5:55 p.m. in Hamilton near northbound Exit 60 ramp. The Toyota then ran off the road and struck a concrete barrier.
The driver, a 64-year-old from West Palm Beach, Florida, was identified as Fevzi Denker. Denker died at the scene.
Following the accident, the ramp was closed for about three hours.
The single-vehicle incident remains under investigation and the cause of the fire is still unclear.
