MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ – The victim of the fatal accident on Interstate 287 in Piscataway Township early on Sunday morning has been identified.
According to RLS Media, 49-year-old Tamiyka N. Scott was southbound on I-287 in a 2003 Honda Accord with one passenger, 48-year-old Sherine T. Rollins. Near mile marker 5, the Honda left the road and overturned after crashing into more than one tree at about 12:17 a.m.
The accident partially ejected Scott, who died as a result of the accident. Rollins was also ejected and sustained severe injuries.
Local authorities are continuing to look into the circumstances of the crash.
