MORRIS COUNTY, NJ – A 25-year-old Jackson woman was killed in an accident on Route 24 that injured four others in Chatham on Saturday afternoon.
According to Daily Voice, the chain-reaction accident happened in the eastbound lanes near milepost 6 at about 12:20 p.m. A truck towing a utility trailer struck the victim’s vehicle, forcing her car into a Toyota RAV-4 and then a Jeep Cherokee.
The victim’s car then went up in flames and she died at the scene. She was identified as Stephanie Santora.
Her front-seat passenger was seriously injured and hospitalized. The 50-year-old Jeep driver and 37-year-old Toyota driver sustained moderate injuries. The truck driver’s injuries were minor.
The area was closed for several hours following the crash.
