MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — One person died early Wednesday after a pursuit-related crash that left three others injured off U.S. Route 9 near Old Bridge, reports Daily Voice.
The fatal collision occurred near the southbound highway and Spring Valley Road at around 2:15 a.m.
According to authorities, a Marlboro police officer was chasing a driver in a car that was stolen from a nearby home. At one point, the fleeing vehicle collided with multiple other passenger vehicles.
One person died as a result of their injuries, and three others suffered undisclosed injuries, confirmed officials.
No further information has been provided at this time.
As a standard procedure, the Attorney General’s Office is conducting an investigation.
