CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ — An 52-year-old Atco woman has turned herself in following a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash Thursday, December 8, in Lindenwold, according to local media.
Lindenwold Police responded to the incident in the 600 block of South White Horse Pike at about 5:42 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but a 53-year-old Somerdale man was found suffering from serious injuries after being hit by at least one vehicle.
First responders rushed the victim to Jefferson-Stratford Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
An investigation found two vehicles were involved: a light-colored Tesla sedan, and a dark, smaller SUV, “possibly a Buick Encore.”
On Wednesday, December 21, the driver of the Tesla went to the Lindenwold Police Department and admitted to her involvement in the crash. She was then given a summons and “released on her own recognizance.”
At this time, a search for the driver of the dark-colored SUV remains ongoing.
