BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Parked vehicles were damaged in two separate suspected DWI wrecks just a week and a half apart in Fair Lawn, according to Daily Voice.

A single-vehicle crash was reported at the corner of Morlot Avenue and Van Saun Place on December 24, 2022, at about 7:30 p.m.

Fair Lawn Police said the driver, a Paterson resident, refused to take a roadside sobriety test. The suspect was charged with “reckless driving, failure to remain in a single lane, DWI and refusing to submit to breath testing,” and was later released to the custody a “responsible adult.”

On the evening of Tuesday, January 3, an Elmwood Park resident crashed his car into a parked vehicle at the intersection of Berdan Avenue and River Road. Authorities said he was arrested after failing a roadside sobriety test and was charged with “DWI and reckless driving” before also being released to a “responsible adult.”

No injuries were reported in either collisions.
