STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Two people were airlifted to the hospital following a three-car accident in Stafford on Thursday afternoon, according to the Burlington Daily Voice.
The crash occurred on Route 72 near Breakers Drive around 4:30 p.m. when Barnegat man Joseph Sanzari, 67, attempted to make a left turn.
A Hyundai Elantra driven by Forked River resident Devan Thatcher, 29, crashed into the Jeep. Thatcher then collided into a Mercedez-Benz driven by Maple Shade man Robert Anzidei, 63.
Thatcher and Anzidei were airlifted to the hospital following the accident.
The accident caused authorities to close down Route 72 for a time.
The crash remains under investigation.
