EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Two men suffered injuries when a New Jersey Transit train struck their ATV in East Rutherford on Sunday afternoon.
According to Daily Voice, a 38-year-old man and a 40-year-old man from Hasbrouck Heights were on the tracks near Berry’s Creek off Route 3. The Bergen Line train struck the two men at about 12:20 p.m.
One of the victims fell into Berry’s Creek after the accident. Both men were transported to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
There were about ten people on board the train. None were injured.
The ATV riders have been received summonses for interfering with transportation and trespassing.
