According to Daily Voice, the accident happened on Hackensack Avenue at University Plaza and River Street at about 9 a.m. The driver of a Honda Pilot turned out abruptly in front of a Nissan Altima, cutting the Altima off and causing the driver to clip the back end of the Pilot.
The Pilot then sped forward, jumped the curb, and was propelled into the window of a Firestone dealership. The SUV landed on its side.
The Honda’s driver, a 67-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with complaints of pain after she was extricated. The other driver was not injured, however, a 22-year-old man was inside the Firestone and sustained a cut from the flying glass.
An investigation is ongoing.
