SECAUCUS, NJ (HUDSON COUNTY) – Two people were injured after an allegedly drunk driver collided with another vehicle in Secaucus earlier this week, according to the Daily Voice.
The crash happened on Paterson Plank Road, just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night, when a 39-year-old Mark Ortiz, of Jersey City, reportedly lost control of his 2002 Honda Civic.
He collided with a 2008 BMW operated by an 18-year-old from Nutley, causing the BMW to collide with a snowbank.
A passenger in the Civic, a 39-year-old from Jersey City, was taken to the hospital in Hackensack for the treatment of serious wounds.
The teenage driver sustained minor injuries as a result of the crash.
Ortiz was not reported as hurt. He is facing charges of DWI and two counts of vehicular assault.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
