LINDEN, NJ – Two individuals, including a police officer, were seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning, sources report.
The accident happened at the intersection of South Wood Avenue and 19th Street at approximately 11:42 a.m.
A police officer crashed his patrol car into a utility truck, which then struck a pickup truck and two parked cars.
The police officer and the driver of the pickup truck were transported to Newark University Hospital where they were treated for serious injuries.
It is unclear whether the officer was responding to a call, or what was the exact cause of the accident.
