STAFFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ – Two drivers were airlifted from a three-vehicle accident scene on Route 72 in Stafford Township last Friday morning.
Daily Voice reported that a 2000 Mazda Miata was struck by a 2001 Nissan Altima after stopping in the right-hand lane of Route 72 near Marsha Drive at about 10:30 a.m. The impact sent the two vehicles into a 2016 Honda CR-V in the left-hand lane.
The driver of the Mazda, a 61-year-old Manahawkin woman, and the driver of the Nissan, an 82-year-old Ship Bottom man, were airlifted from the scene. They were taken to an Atlantic City Trauma Center to be treated for serious injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
