PITTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, NJ – A driver and a passenger died early Sunday morning in a two-vehicle collision in Salem County. The two deceased individuals were traveling eastbound in an Infiniti I-30 Sedan on Route 56 when the vehicle collided with a Dodge Ram traveling southbound on County Road 638. At this time, the exact circumstances surrounding the crash have yet to be released.
We can confirm that the two occupants of the Infiniti were declared dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Dodge Ram, a 34-year-old man from Franklinville, was transported to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.
Police closed the roadways for around five hours for investigation and cleanup. No further information has been released at this time.
