SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ – A tractor-trailer ran off Interstate 78 in Somerset County, struck an overhead sign, and spilled gallons of fuel on Sunday morning.
According to Patch.com, the tractor-trailer hit the overhead sign for Interstate 287 where is crosses at near Exit 29 in Bedminster at about 5:30 a.m.
The crash damaged the fuel tanks and spilled around 80 gallons of diesel. A Hazmat team worked into the early morning hours of Monday cleaning up and other crews repaired the sign damage.
The driver was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
