FRANKLIN, NJ – A pickup truck driver was struck by a box truck on a Sussex County highway and died from his injuries Friday, NJ Advance Media reports.
The victim driving the pickup truck exited the Irish Cottage Inn parking lot while the box truck was traveling north on State Highway 23 and was struck at a right angle.
The truck driver, a 70-year-old Hamburg man, hit several road signs, drifted off the highway and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the box truck was injured.
